The aim of the Preschool is to help the whole child grow physically and spiritually stronger, socially acceptable, emotionally
secure and mentally alert.
We offer a structured preschool program for children, ages two through five. Each child must have reached his/her
2nd, 3rd or 4th birthday on or by September 30. Children will receive a daily nutritional snack. Field trips and
Enrichment Programs are also a part of the curriculum. The 3, 4 and 5 year olds will have chapel and music once a week.
The curriculum used is to prepare the children for entering Kindergarten. Teacher conferences are set up during the year to
inform the parents of the student's progress.
Every class has one teacher and one aide in the classroom.
The Preschool office is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. : 12:30 p.m.
We welcome you to come and visit the preschool. Please call ahead, so we can make arrangements for you to talk to the teachers
and see the classrooms.

has five classrooms currently being used by the Preschool and two large play areas. A kitchen is on the first floor.
The preschool also uses Eisenburg Hall, Assembly Hall and the Sanctuary in the Church building located behind the CEC building.
Open Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the third Monday in February for the following school year.
Registration will continue until enrollment is filled and as necessary throughout the summer and school year. Registration
packets can be picked up at the Preschool office or mailed to your address.
A non-refundable registration fee of $40.00 shall be paid at the time of registration. Parents registering more
than one child will receive a $15.00 discount. The fee will hold the child's place in the class and cover supplies for the
school year.
Grace Lutheran Preschool offers scholarships to children based on financial need. All scholarship information
is confidential. The scholarship committee of the Preschool Board meets, as needed, to determine scholarship amounts.
All scholarships are reapplied for on an annual basis.
An enrichment program is set up to offer the child other areas of growth and creativity. The program is offered
six times a year. We bring in different people from the community to teach or show their skills. Some of the programs
we have had are Shenandoah Arts Academy Music Program, Sunshine Dance Studio, Author Storyteller, Police Officer and Dentist.
Each classroom is equipped with a computer. While it is difficult to get all the children on the computer
on a daily basis, we will make sure that the children have equal access to using the computer. Educational and age appropriate
programs will be used for each age level.

Our 3, 4 and 5 year olds will meet together once a week with one of our pastors or the Director of Children's Education
and Youth Ministry at the church. They will meet for a 15 minute chapel visit to sing songs of faith, pray and read
Bible stories.
